Between 1986 and 1993 Matt Fleeger used his finance and marketing prowess to work his way into executive level positions and assisted with the business development of several oil and gas companies in Texas, including a brief stint at Gulf Coast Western, which his father founded in 1970. In 1993 Matthew H Fleeger founded MedSolutions, Inc, a diversified holding company that provided comprehensive waste management outsource solutions for the transportation, treatment and disposal of regulated medical waste streams generated by healthcare facilities. During his years at MedSolutions, Inc, Matt Fleeger served as Chairman/Director, CEO and President and with his team helped execute several acquisitions and build the company’s reputation as a regional leader in the healthcare waste management industry. As MedSolution, Inc’s reputation grew it began to attract attention from some of the largest companies in the medical waste management industry. Mr. Fleeger negotiated the sale of MedSolutions to Stericycle, Inc,(nasdaq:srcl), the industry leader, in November of 2007 for approximately $59 million.
