Gulf Coast Western

Gulf Coast Western (GCW) is pleased to announce that two wells, which were recently drilled in Lavaca County, Texas and in which GCW is a working interest participant, have moved into the completion phase. “These wells were drilled to test multiple horizons in the Wilcox formation and we are pleased with the log results on both wells. Now they will be tested to determine if they are commercial,” stated Matthew H. Fleeger, President and CEO. “In this area the Wilcox is a prolific producer and the initial key well, from which these prospects were developed, was placed into production in November 2007 and has maintained strong daily production rates with no decline. Through November 2008, it has cumulative production of 1.176 BCFG and 25,571 BOE, so you will not hear any complaints from us if we are fortunate enough to experience similar results from our 2 wells.”
